✔ Clean dryer vent, it improves safety and efficiency. Depending on the venting circumstances, it should be inspected and cleaned every 6-12 months.
✔ Clean the duct that connects the dryer’s rear vent to the exterior vent. as it is also a common place for lint to collect.
✔ Do not overload the dryer.
✔ Do not dry anything containing foam, rubber or plastic.
✔ Do not dry clothes that have gas, cooking oil, or other chemical stains.
✔ Have your dryer cleaned regularly by a professional, especially if it’s taking longer than normal for clothes to dry.
